ADMIN – Groups (Join activities to employees)

Administrators create groups and then choose which group can create a specific type of an attendance request. Groups are not a mandatory setting. If you do not create any groups, all employees will be allowed to create all (same) request types.

In order to create attendance request types in your company, go to a manual on how to set up attendance activities.

Examples of Groups:

  • employees in a group named “Office” can be allowed to create vacation, sick day or doctor visit requests.
  • employees in a group named “Remote” can be allowed to create vacation, sick day or doctor visit requests AND also home office or remote work requests.
  • employees in a group named “Part-time” can be allowed to create only home office request, etc.

Please note that only employees with special permissions can use this functionality.

Step 1 – Settings

Click on Settings and select Attendance.

Step 2 – Groups

Select Attendance groups.

Step 3 – Select company

If you have access to set up more than one company, create groups for each company individually – select a Company.

Click + New attendance group.

Step 4 – Details

Select name (of the company), employees, and click Save.
